Prince William's sister-in-law was on the Court Philippe Chatrier at Roland Garros with friends as Spanish world number one Nadal saw off Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic 7-5 6-3 6-3.
Pippa is a keen tennis player and is said to be a member of the exclusive Queen's Club, venue for one of the major warm-up events for Wimbledon each year.
Her sister Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge since her wedding to Prince William a month ago, is also a fan of the game and played for Marlborough College.
Casually dressed with her dark hair loose around her shoulders and over-sized Gucci sunglasses, Pippa showed off her tan in a black V-neck top.
After the masterclass from Nadal, Pippa and her pals saw Gilles Simon take on Robin Soderling.
